On April 15-16, Kyiv will host a major exhibition of gambling software and hardware – Ukrainian Gaming Week 2020. The event will feature a conference involving industry professionals: they will talk about the regulation and prospects of gambling. What industry trends will we face in 2020?
Gambling development in 2019
The gambling industry rapidly evolves year by year, especially global iGaming. It is encouraged by the fast growth and adoption of new technologies, as well as the emergence of marketing tools for business promotion.
Mobile format. The possibility to play in online casinos or bet on sports from a smartphone attracts an increasing amount of users. In 2017, 62% of all gambling resource visitors were playing online slots. This number is growing due to more powerful gadgets and high-speed networks.
Blockchain casinos. Cryptocurrencies gradually become a part of our life, while blockchain is successfully applied in various fields. Casinos based on these technologies can boast transparent processes and prompt transactions. One of such companies is FairPlay Crypto Casino.
Regulation. In 2019, we could see a range of significant changes in industry regulation. Certain countries considered, developed, and adopted gambling laws. It also affected online gambling: for example, the document allowing to legally register an online casino in Belarus became effective this spring. At the same time, Ukraine developed a bill legalizing land-based and online casino operations within its territory.
Conferences and exhibitions. Networking is one of the crucial tools for gambling business advancement. One of the most eagerly awaited events, ICE London 2019, took place at the beginning of the year. It is a gambling summit and exhibition. The event was attended by more than 30,000 people. Gaming in Asia was presented at an annual gambling and entertainment exhibition, G2E Asia 2019, which brought together 18,000 visitors.

2020’s industry trends
In 2020, the industry will keep developing in the mobile space. The main trends will be the maximum transparency of operations and responsible gambling. It is extremely important to prevent such problems as gambling addiction in countries where casinos are freely available and legal.
Moreover, it is necessary to improve staff competence. Core training goals: to enhance the level of knowledge about cutting-edge technologies and gaming protection techniques. Those aimed at growing their own gambling businesses and enjoying players’ confidence will have to take care of software and hardware certification matters.
You will be able to discover more about leading manufacturers, test the latest products, and discuss the development of the gambling sector with experts at Ukrainian Gaming Week 2020 on April 15-16.
